MyStationPE Members – Welcome to the SPARK Family!

Many of you have noticed that we “flipped the switch” last Friday morning at about 9:30 am.

This event was a significant one for me personally and it represents a new chapter in our professional journey together. As I mentioned last week, please don’t hesitate to offer us your feedback and suggestions. We’re working to make sure this process is free of technical bugs. However, I’m sure there will be a handful of fixes that need to be made. Actually, we’ve already made a handful. Please report any errors that you come across so that we can put it in cue for a quick tweak.

In addition to short-term feedback, we’re also asking for your on-going ideas and support using our quick comment form that can be found in the Quick Links section of the home page. Please offer us your constructive comments and we’ll take them all into consideration. We’ll also be having a drawing in April for everyone who offers us a suggestion. Send us a comment with a valid email address and you’ll be eligible to win $100 in Sportime equipment.

Our first content update as a part of the new SPARK Family is the creation of SPARK Fit. This section of the website will be the new and improved Fitness Lab section and already contains a small sample of what’s to come. There are new iPod-ready video circuit sets and improved circuit cards. We’ve got many new circuit tools in cue to add over the next two months. We’ll also be revising the old Fitness Lab content and transitioning it into the SPARK Fit section. During this process, if you’re looking for something and can’t seem to locate it, please send me an email and ask where it went. I’ll work hard to respond to your request within 48 hours.

Okay, the first step was a big one and now we’re ready to hit our stride. Look for more great content next month. Have a great October!

Great news for MyStationPE.com Members!

I’m very excited to announce that MyStationPE.com is merging with the SPARK Programs!

Have you been wondering what I've been up to all summer? I've been working very hard with our team behind the scenes to transform MyStationPE.com into the new SPARK Family Website. Phase one of this transformation will roll out to you this weekend (starting October 2).

Between now and March 1, 2010 we’ll be in a Beta Testing phase that will provide you with existing and new content while we test new features and resources. During that time we’ll ask for your feedback and suggestions as we shape the future of the SPARK Family Website.

If you’re not familiar with the SPARK Programs please visit http://www.sparkpe.org/. SPARK is the most widely used researched-based physical education and activity program in the world and we’re extremely excited to be a part of such a great organization.  It's also a part of the School Specialty and Sportime Family.  We couldn't have asked for a better team!

During our beta-testing we’ll also ask for your patience as we modify the site, rearrange content and improve old activities.
